This list was created to help provide variety to my clients follow a very low carb, ketogenic diet.  I realized that more than just my clients may want this list!  The list includes mainly foods that are considered “natural” products.  Although the FDA does not have a true definition for natural foods, the products provided on the list follow the guidelines of a major retail chain and are limited in certain additives including:

  • Artificial sweeteners

  • Nitrates and Nitrates

  • BHT

  • Artificial colors

  • TBHQ

My hopes are that you will use this list to include as much variety as possible in your low carbohydrate or keto diet.  This product list should not be construed or relied upon in any way as an endorsement of these specific products or medical advice. This list does not include every product that may be appropriate, nor does it purposely exclude any products.  

When you have extra carbs to spend on a very low carb diet, it’s best to spend them on vegetables so those are listed first on the list as a reminder to prioritize those in your choices.
